Machine connectivity 4.0

I connected 13 machines with different controls into one system: state, programs, cutting time and tool life. I know what each control can and cannot tell you.

When you need it

I read data from the controls and bring it into a system the shop actually uses.

✓ 13 machines connected

  • LSV2
  • OPC UA
  • NCDDE
  • on-premise data
  • You know how long machines are on, not how long they actually cut
  • Cycle times are written by hand at the end of the shift
  • Tool life lives in a spreadsheet updated when someone remembers
  • Machines are connected on paper but the link produces no useful data

What I do

02.1

Reading data from controls

Heidenhain (LSV2), Siemens Sinumerik (OPC UA, NCDDE), Fagor and others: state, active program, override, alarms.

02.2

Times and cycles

Real cutting time per job and per machine, idle time on stopped programs, shifts and nights.

02.3

Tool life

Consumption per tool in cutting minutes, warnings before end of life, history per job.

02.4

Data in your network

Installed in your company network, with no data sent to outside services.

How I work

  1. Survey of machines, controls and network
  2. Test read on one machine
  3. Roll out to the others, one at a time
  4. Shop floor panel and reports for management

FAQ

Frequent questions

Do I need new machines?

Often not. Many Heidenhain and Sinumerik controls already expose data. We check machine by machine before promising anything.

Do you handle incentive certification?

No. In Italy that is signed by a licensed professional. I handle the technical side: the connection works and produces data.

Does data leave the company?

No. The system is installed in your network and the data stays there.

Smart machines, always ON

A machine, a department or a number that does not add up?

Tell me the problem as it is, even in two lines. I answer myself, not a form.
