CNC / CAM

I work on 5-axis machining centers every day. I know the part, the program and the control, so a program I write runs on the machine without surprises.

When you need it

5-axis CAM programs, control macros, probing cycles and tool breakage handling.

  • Tool breakages that stop unattended night shifts
  • Old cycles and macros nobody can change anymore

What I do

01.1

5-axis CAM programming

Roughing and finishing strategies in Cimatron, stepover based on real scallop height, post-processor matched to the machine kinematics.

01.2

Control macros and cycles

Siemens Sinumerik 840D (GUD variables, TRAORI, CYCLE800) and Heidenhain: cycles built for your shop.

01.3

Breakage detection and restart

Tool check logic with retries and sister tools, for safe unattended machining.

01.4

Tools and parameters

Tool coding, holders, presetting and cutting data kept consistent between CAM and machine.

How I work

  1. I look at machine, part and current program
  2. I tell you what I would change and how long it takes
  3. We run the first part together
  4. You get programs and notes the next person can read

FAQ

Frequent questions

Which controls do you work on?

Mainly Siemens Sinumerik 840D and Heidenhain. I also know Selca and Fagor for data reading.

Do you only use Cimatron?

Cimatron is my daily CAM. On other CAM systems I can work on strategy and post-processor, case by case.

Do you work remotely?

Programming, yes. First part and fine tuning happen on site, in Emilia-Romagna.

Smart machines, always ON

A machine, a department or a number that does not add up?

Tell me the problem as it is, even in two lines. I answer myself, not a form.
